Progress Time ~ 12 Sep 2015

Before you know it, on September 18th, Saturn resumes travels in Sagittarius. Having provided us with an emotional review this past season of what matters to a soul on an internal level, now he asks most poignant questions: How will you ensure what you want comes to be? Is your passport for life’s travels current?

Sagittarius promotes eternal optimism, go-for-it-spirit, the belief that butterflies, rainbows, unicorns and platypuses will magically show up as entertainment for festive parties and work related promotional events. Sagittarius seeks to go to and live in Disneyland, Disneyland, Disneyplanet. It’s believing “if you wish it will happen.” “If you build it, they will come.”

Oh, right. You have to build it. To which Saturn replies in the snarky tone that suits him best, “what you think a repairman shows up at your door without you lifting a finger? They’re not psychic by trade, you know. Everyone knows you have to lift a finger... to push the button on the app for summoning repair persons” I watched the CEO of Uber on a show last night. They’re working on Uber-lunch. Push a button and lunch arrives in five minutes. But is it non-GMO? Is it fresh? Is it what you want? What if you went to a public food facility and ordered from the menu and sat and ate, fully attentive on the process of body nurturing? You know... the old-fashioned way?

Simply, Saturn in Sagittarius reminds travelers on planet Earth that there is no short cut on the long journey of fulfilling your wishes. “Overnight successes” typically have been at it years.

Saturn pays off and rewords hard-work, diligence, perseverance, persistence, daily drill, and strong work ethics.

Sagittarius pays off can-do confidence, cooperative spirit, big-picture thinking, and the willingness to step out and do the journey.

Several times a year the planets arrange pockets of supportive energy for pushing harder and smarter. One of those pockets begins within the week - when Saturn enters Sagittarius. Actually, one could argue - or strongly contend with supreme confidence and belief as Sag loves to do - that Jupiter in Virgo initiated the cycle. In Virgo, Jupiter insists upon dotting i’s, crossing t’s, planning for contingencies, assessing resource availability, all before going for it. Have a plan. Think long term. Ponder contingencies. Play the nasty game of “what if?” and come up with solutions for all the “if” factors.

One might also declare that when Mars enters Virgo the execution of Jupiter’s master plan should or must begin. Maybe it could. However, soon, as in 13 days from posting, Mars in Virgo squares Saturn. Just in case you did not launch a master plan when Jupiter went into Virgo or when Mars goes into Virgo, there’s no need to cloud up and darken aspirations with “coulds” and “shoulds.” This is the marker of “get down, dig deeper, get it done!”

Mars in Virgo squares Saturn in Sagittarius on September 25th, marking an amazing roll-up-the-sleeves and get-it-going shove from above. But wait! Isn’t Mercury retrograde in Libra then? Yes, he is. In the planetary hierarchy, the potency of Mars-Saturn trumps (not in a Donald way) Mercury retrograde. When the fleet-footed messenger moon walks backward, he is not demanding that one shut off the faucet of life flow.

On September 30th, Mercury aligns with the Earth and Sun at the retrograde midpoint. So, stock the shelves and price items for sale from the 25th to 29th, open the doors and launch the store on the 30th. Or, review the content on your new website and test all those links between 25 - 29 of September; push the content on the 30th. Or however it applies in your world. Get and be working it in the five-day window either side of Mars square Saturn on September 25.

Those who bust it in this window and persist in heaping up work that furthers as October begins, reap the benefits of the next “reward for hard work rendered” transit: Mars to Jupiter in Virgo on October 17th. As well, Mars to Jupiter demands throttling up and perfecting travel parameters on the life journey ahead.

So, this week before Saturn returns to Sagittarius, why not conduct an emotional review? Ask yourself:

How’s this year working out for you?

Where are you on the progress completion graph built into one of your phone’s apps?

Will you hit your objectives of this year?

How far beyond the original plan might you be able to ascend?

If the answers to the above report grim returns, worry not.

Recreate the belief system with which you approach all of life and perfect it to support, without reservation, your life objectives. Create a rock solid life belief doctrine.

Find a way to delegate tasks to competent folks you trust, leaving your efforts to the most impactful chores you can pursue.

Revise timeline objectives and tighten up resource use such that at the end of the year, or whatever ephemeral marker you use to define the completion of a cycle, you are satisfied with your accomplishments and results.

Constantly acknowledge every effort expended in the interest of progress or with the intent of personal evolution.

Play nice in the sandbox and aspire to establish cooperative situations and interactions with maximum benefits for all concerned.

Lead the way by working the hardest and smartest.

Review your use of all time-saving devices. Do they really save time?

More soon.
